The padded jacket is one of the top 5 must-haves of the season. It made it all the way through from the ski/sports wardrobe to the street style. It is among the crème de la crème of the trendiest pieces in stores now! Here I show you a cool and different way of styling this type of jacket to flatter your pretty self. Check it out.
The coat is the piece you wear the most this season, taking you from chilly October evenings right through ’til February. It is a kinda decisive part of your outfit. So you better work it girl!
I have been at KappAhl to select my pics of the Fall collection currently in stores. I have made this fun style video with them, remember? I also wore this amazing dress (that happens to be still available).
At the store, I was happy to see that there was actually much to choose from. That means that fashion is becoming more inclusive and KappAhl is making sure their plus size line – XLNT – is not boring and up to date with the trends we want to wear. As I keep saying – Fashion is for all!
How happy was I when I saw this padded jacket available in larger sizes? I was dying to wear a long quilted bubbly jacket just as I did here.
Padded jackets transitioned from ski enthusiast to streetwear last year, and this season’s offering has returned bigger and better. Rihanna led the way with Fenty x Puma floor-skimming checked jackets, Rick Owens went conceptual with larger-than-life pieces, and 3.1 Phillip Lim played with proportion by belting nipped-in waists.
I took inspiration from the 80s and styled the jacket with an oversized belt. With the lace body underneath – GET IT HERE – the outfit became more feminine and trendy. This is a look that suits all body types and can also be worn with pants. Try a faux leather pair of leggings or a destroyed boyfriend jeans for major comfort and style.
The jacket is from KappAhl and is in stores now. Click here to get it before it goes.
