Look ( & blogger life) Plus Size

Look ( & blogger life) Plus Size

Fashion is different of style. Fashion is designed, it is a fad. Style is individual expression, is art, almost like it is born with you. In times of excess, superficiality and so much waste, it is important to keep this idea in mind. Times like nowadays make me to question so much how I relate to fashion. Even my work with this blog. What makes me to keep going is to know from you guys how helpful it is to have someone channelling beauty and style beyond size. The feedbacks on how I have been positivelly promoting a break free from beauty standards gets me such a rewarding feeling.

My blog changed so much along the way. It started as a channel for reflexion on my thoughts, then I started posting my art photography work the then, finally I decided to follow so many advices and to promote my own styles. I had to categorize my blog as plus size fashion due to better acceptance of the plus size term in the industry. Unfortunatelly sometimes we have to make piece with some labels. I am very much looking forward to the future I forecast where plus size models, bloggers, brands will be called by what they are and not the sizes they represent.

What about the “Look of the day” posts? My blog ain’t a cathalogue. I find it such a pitty to see cool bloggers to just loose track by posting for money only and not for the public service it makes. I mean, I lilililike money. I get money posting clothes, it is one of the services a style blogger provides. But the main service, the mission of our work has to be helping people lives, showing some inspiration and beauty beyond standards.

So here you have a “Look of the day” type of post. This one is just a look I wore the other day, not payed by ayone but myself, repeating clothes as I usualy do. The kimono you see is actually a dress that works quite well, both open or closed. I fnd this type of pieces quite versatile, almost a must have in the closet.

Another nice thing about it is that it ain’t from the Plus Size area of H&M. It is good to have a look in all the sections of the department stores. Like, just in case you get a finding like this one.
